The Godfather

Philip is a former (retired) director of PZ Cussons PLC, this is where he met Cheeky Monkey who have been supporting and facilitating a range of projects delivering transformational change.

As a former client and collaborator, he is well placed to know that Cheeky Monkey "does what it says on the tin" so much so that he decided to join them! Philip is helping to develop and deliver what Cheeky Monkey have to offer, he will also admit that excitement, challenge and fun have something to do with it too.

In the course of his career, Philip has worked mostly in FMCG in personal care and food categories, initially as a marketer and then in job roles which gave him experience of many different geographies and functional areas, including the supply chain. For the last 19 years or so he has been with PZ Cussons and for much of that time working either as a unit Managing Director or as a member of the Main Board.

Like all senior managers, his job has always been about creating, driving or responding to change in the search for sustained profit growth. He has experienced both success and failure in the quest for effective change and learned a lot along the way. Clear vision and a disciplined process are absolute necessities but at its heart, the key to successful change is always fully engaged people.

Philip’s other interests include two Non Executive Directorships and acting as a mentor for Business in the Arts.

A human approach

A human approach that goes beyond Project Management and believes that people are the key to the success of business. The Way of the Monkey delivers sustainable business benefits that go beyond the project headlines.
